wow

No, not a a Buddhist temple sign. Spotted by my Polish (sic!) neighbor Justyna, this tourist shot concludes my "Finger pointing in Korea" series. After one and a half years still puzzled to find new phenomena in this country that seem inexplicable.
The big letters reade: HEE-TE-LAW.

We are hear to learn

Jury duty in Hannover We, the jury, that is (left to right) Uli Plank, myself, Denenesh Zoudé, and VideoBrazil's wonderful Solange Farkas are being interviewed by two kittie girlies during the up and coming festival. We've been asked if we, the old smart farts have any "good advice" to the younger generation. My Ulsan University experience has taught me: No, not at all. Rather the opposite: We are here to learn some tricks from the youngsters.

Bob Ross is alive!

24 hours in Hamburg. And Luckily I caught the last installment of KOPIEREN UND VERFAELSCHEN,(COPY AND FALSIFY)
a series on copy culture in the FRISE Kunsthaus Hamburg. This week's highlight:
Joern Zehe initiated a Bob Ross painting workshop, Ross, the ghost spoke to us with his sonoric voice via YouTube, five serious painters took his speedy landscape painting workshop. Real canvases, real oil paint. Real mountains. Stunning!

Artforumed in China

we got artforumed as Mathieu called it. Strangers caught inside the Chinese glossyglamourgossip. I was always wondering what are the real stories behind those glamour stars photographed on VIP parties - slightly shit-faced with rosy cheeks, yet pretending to be sober and good buddy with the person next to them... Now I know at least that: The majority of the people at the Ullens museum opening most likely have not seen each other let alone introduced to each other. It was a massive 2-day extravanganza, thousands of invited guests. Next to us Henri Benaim, the new gallery director of PKM gallery Beijing. A super-sweetheart that invited us staying in his new flat in Beijing.
